The detail
A stunning evergreen holly prized for its beautifully variegated foliage. Ilex aquifolium 'Argentea Marginata' features glossy, dark green leaves edged with creamy-white margins, creating year-round interest in the garden. This is a female cultivar and, when a compatible male pollinator is nearby, will produce an abundance of bright red berries from autumn through winter, providing a valuable food source for birds during the colder months.
This hardy evergreen shrub is incredibly versatile – equally suited to use as a specimen plant, in mixed borders, as a formal or informal hedge, or grown in a large container. Its dense, bushy habit also makes it an excellent choice for screening and shelter. The variegated leaves look particularly striking in winter when paired with the vivid red berries.
