Do foliage plants flower?
Most of these are grown for their leaves; flowers are infrequent or insignificant. The point is the foliage — that's the feature.
How fast will they grow?
Indoor growth is slower than outdoor. Expect noticeable change every few months rather than weeks. With enough light, water and the occasional feed, most double in size in 18–24 months.
Do they need misting?
Most modern indoor foliage tolerates UK humidity fine without misting. Calatheas and ferns are exceptions — they prefer 50%+ humidity, easiest in a bathroom.
