Bathroom plants
Humidity is the gift. Use it.
Bathrooms are the best room in the house for plants that crave humidity: ferns, calatheas, alocasias, prayer plants, even some tropical orchids. Steam from showers replicates rainforest understory conditions.

Knowledge
Frequently asked
What if my bathroom doesn't have a window?
Low-light plants (ZZ, snake plant, pothos) work fine without one. Most humidity-lovers also tolerate dimmer light than you might expect.
Won't the humidity damage my plants?
Quite the opposite — most indoor plants struggle with too LITTLE humidity. The only exceptions are succulents and cacti, which prefer dry air.
What temperature is a bathroom usually?
Variable — warm during shower hours, cooler the rest. Most tropical plants handle this fine.
