Knowledge
Frequently asked
How often do I water?
Once a fortnight in summer; once a month or less in winter. Key rule: only water when the soil is bone dry. More plants are killed by overwatering than anything else.
Do they need direct sun?
Yes — bright direct sun for most succulents and cacti. A sunny windowsill is ideal. Plants kept too dark will etiolate (stretch and grow pale).
Can I grow them outdoors in the UK?
Some hardy succulents (sempervivums, sedums) live outside year-round; most need to come in for UK winter. Check the product page for cold tolerance.
