Knowledge

Frequently asked

How long do trailing plants get?

Most pothos and philodendrons reach 1.5–3m. String of pearls and string of hearts can trail 1.5m+ in the right conditions.

How do I encourage longer trails?

Bright indirect light, regular watering, monthly feed during growing season, and don't prune — let it grow. Pinching the tip encourages branching but shortens overall length.

What pot suits trailing plants?

Anything with drainage. A pot that's slightly raised (shelf, plant stand or ceiling hook) lets the trails fall freely without touching the surface below.
