Knowledge

Frequently asked

How many hours of sun do they need?

At least 4 hours of direct sun daily; 6+ is better. For most of the year, this means a south or west-facing window.

What about winter when there's less sun?

Most sun-lovers slow down naturally in winter and need less water and feed. Grow lights help if you want to keep growth steady through dark months.

Can I move them between rooms with the seasons?

Yes. A south-facing window in summer, a brighter winter location, and outdoors in summer (carefully acclimatised) all work for sun-loving plants.
