The detail
Weigela florida 'Variegata' is a beautiful and reliable deciduous shrub, prized for its striking variegated foliage and abundant pink flowers. The leaves are mid-green with attractive creamy-white margins, providing interest throughout the growing season even when the plant is not in bloom. In late spring to early summer, clusters of delicate, funnel-shaped pink flowers appear along the arching branches, creating a stunning display that is irresistible to bees and other pollinators.
This hardy garden shrub is easy to grow and requires minimal maintenance once established. It is ideal for mixed borders, cottage-style gardens, or as a standalone specimen. Weigela 'Variegata' is also well suited to smaller gardens thanks to its compact, bushy habit compared to some other Weigela varieties. An RHS Award of Garden Merit holder, this is a tried-and-tested variety that performs well in UK gardens year after year.
