The detail

Foliage may appear glossy green, soft grey, silvery-green, emerald-bright, finely textured or attractively variegated, with many forms developing subtle red or bronze tones in cooler weather. From late spring into summer, slender flower spikes rise above the foliage in shades of white, lilac, pink, mauve or soft purple, adding light seasonal colour without disrupting the plant’s clean structure.
