The detail

This low-growing, spreading deciduous shrub is renowned for its herringbone-patterned branches and dense mats of small, glossy green leaves that turn vibrant red and orange in autumn, followed by bright red berries that persist into winter. Growing up to 60 cm tall × 2 m wide, it’s perfect for walls, slopes, groundcover planting, or rock gardens.

Each plant is supplied as a large, fully established 2L rootball in its nursery pot, professionally grown in premium peat-free compost. We deliver the plant nursery fresh, ensuring strong roots, healthy branches, and rapid establishment in your garden. It produces delicate pinkish-white spring flowers that attract bees and beneficial pollinators. Hardy and low-maintenance, it thrives with minimal care—just occasional watering during dry periods, light pruning after flowering to maintain its herringbone shape, and placement in full sun or partial shade.
