The detail

Viburnum tinus 'Gwenllian' is a compact, bushy evergreen shrub prized for its long flowering season and attractive dark green foliage. From late autumn through to spring, clusters of deep pink buds open to reveal delicate white-pink flowers, providing much-needed colour during the cooler months. These are followed by small, dark metallic-blue berries that persist into autumn, adding further seasonal interest.

This reliable variety is an RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM) holder, recognised for its outstanding garden performance. 'Gwenllian' is particularly valued for its neat, dense habit, making it an excellent choice for informal hedging, borders, and screening. It is tolerant of a wide range of soil types and thrives in both sunny and partially shaded positions.
