The detail
Bring a stunning burst of spring colour to your garden with this set of three Primula denticulata, commonly known as the Drumstick Primula. This much-loved hardy perennial produces distinctive globe-shaped flower heads in a beautiful soft lilac, held on sturdy upright stems above rosettes of fresh green foliage. One of the earliest perennials to flower, it is a welcome sight in spring borders and a valuable early nectar source for bees and other pollinators.
Primula denticulata is a robust and reliable plant that thrives in moist, humus-rich soil in partial shade or dappled sunlight, though it will also tolerate full sun where the soil remains consistently moist. It is ideal for planting along border edges, in woodland gardens, around ponds, or in containers. Once established, it will naturalise and gradually form attractive clumps, returning year after year with very little maintenance required.
