The detail

Trailing lobelia produces masses of tiny, fan-shaped flowers held closely together along flexible, cascading stems, creating a soft waterfall of colour for baskets and containers. Available in deep blue-violet, vivid purple-blue, refreshing water-blue, and pure white, each bloom features the classic lobelia form with three flared lower petals and two smaller upper petals, often highlighted by a pale throat. Though individually small, the flowers appear in such abundance that they form dense, flowing curtains of colour.

Supplied as large, well-established 10.5 cm rootballs, these plants are ready to plant straight outdoors and establish quickly. Grown in peat-free compost, they’re easy to maintain and perform reliably throughout the warmer months. Ideal for hanging baskets, window boxes, and raised containers, trailing lobelia offers high impact with minimal effort, making it suitable for both beginner and experienced gardeners.
