The detail
Trollius 'Lemon Queen' is a beautiful and reliable hardy herbaceous perennial, prized for its elegant, globe-shaped, soft lemon-yellow flowers that appear from late spring into early summer. A member of the buttercup family, this clump-forming perennial brings a graceful charm to borders, bog gardens, pond margins and woodland edges. The rounded, bowl-shaped blooms sit above attractive mounds of deeply divided, dark green foliage, creating a striking display during the spring months.
Globeflowers are naturally found in damp meadows and stream sides, making them an excellent choice for moisture-retentive areas of the garden. 'Lemon Queen' is particularly valued for its paler, softer yellow tones compared to other Trollius varieties, lending a subtle elegance to planting schemes. It is a wonderful companion for other moisture-loving perennials such as Astilbe, Hostas, Iris sibirica and Primula.
